The annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet was held last night at Solomon’s Volunteer Fire Department. The Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc., would like to congratulate:

We would like to send our thanks and congratulations to Past President Tommy Mattingly, Jr. for a successful year. Tommy has been a friend to Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. We appreciate his time and dedication, as well as being there to assist us when needed. Tommy is a true fiend of Fire and EMS. Thank you again, for the job well done.

We would like to send a special congratulations to our own George Kennett for his re-election as Chaplain. George has spent many hours attending memorials and funerals for those in Southern Maryland. He is also always there to lend an ear or say a prayer. We appreciate your time and dedication.
Hall of Fame Awards:
Post-Humorously Hall of Fame: Jennifer Huntington. Jennifer was a member of our department for 40 years. She was a prior EMT and at the time of her death, served as the sunshine person who took care of sending flowers and cards to our members and their families. She attended the SMVFA and MSFA meetings. She passed away on January 2, 2026.
Hall of Fame: Brian Evans. Brian was nominated by Ridge VRS and was accepted into the Hall of Fame. Brian is also a member of our department, and we are proud of him for his time and dedication and service to us, St. Mary’s ALS, and Ridge VRS. He also serves on the LOSAP Executive Board and as Information Technology to several departments. |
